ESCAPE THE ORDINARY
At Campfire Adventure Coffee Co., we believe life should be nothing more than a constant stream of epic adventures while slowing down for exceptional coffee.
Quality coffee shouldn’t come at the expense of others or our environment. That’s why our USDA Certified Organic Campfire Coffee is locally roasted in Los Angeles as well as Fair Trade Certified. Fair trade is important to us because we intentionally pay above market value in order to ensure our farmers earn a livable income. As our growers earn more, the additional funds are invested in their communities and used to protect their local environments from harmful chemicals and pesticides.
Campfire Coffee is the perfect companion for any explorer, either at home or in the mountains; and it’s available for purchase exclusively at our online coffee shop. Visit the COFFEE page to browse our premium blends and single origin coffee or shop our latest gear.
Additionally, we offer Campfire Adventure, the premier online database for explorers of all levels. Whether you’re looking for a moderate, half-day hike or a more strenuous, full-day mountain trek, we have you covered with all the necessary information to complete your chosen experience, either alone or with friends.
Simply visit the ADVENTURE page, select the desired camping adventure (CAMP) or hike duration (HALF-DAY or FULL-DAY) and then a list of destinations will appear matching your selection. Within each individual hike page, all the necessary information will be listed for you such as: what to pack, the perfect coffee companion, how to get to your adventure, and how to complete the trail.
LET'S MAKE A DIFFERENCE
At Campfire Adventure Coffee Co. we enjoy sharing our passion for coffee and adventure. We also know how incredibly fragile our environment is and the importance of doing our small part in keeping it preserved.
Each weekend, we head out around Southern California to set up our pop-up coffee shop where we invite others to share in the Campfire Adventure Coffee Co. experience. At the end of the morning, when our pop-up coffee shop is complete, we set out to hike the nearest trail and clean up any trash along the way.
As we do our best to leave each trail we visit in better shape than we found it, we hope to inspire others to think twice before leaving a plastic bottle behind or forgetting to pick up that granola bar wrapper. Leave no trace is a simple practice, and a responsibility we should all take pride in when enjoying our great outdoors.
So join us in our endeavor as we try to make a difference. Be sure to follow our Instagram for our growing list of trail cleans we've completed and to view upcoming locations for our pop-up.
A SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR FRIENDS
HEY, I'M STEVE
Avid hiker, constant laugher and coffee addict. Ask anyone these days and they’ll more than likely use at least one of these three identifiers to describe me.
So where did it all begin? Well, in short, I had my life completely shaken in 2013 and it was something very few people even knew about. I honestly learned firsthand that some of the bad things in life happen for a reason, but they can eventually make you a stronger person... over time.
For me, it was a slow process to build myself whole again. I dedicated a year to exploring only the things that brought me happiness. I learned to garden, started photography again, finished a ten-mile Tough Mudder®, immersed myself in the world of coffee, and decided it was time to adopt a dog.
Once I finally found my tenacious trooper, Darcy, I started with some local hikes for us to exercise together. You know, team building stuff... but with a hyperactive puppy. These hikes turned out great for three reasons 1) I was able to thoroughly research local coffee shops and their coffee, 2) Darcy was completely exhausted after every adventure, and 3) I gradually realized I felt the most relaxed while I was enjoying coffee and being outdoors.
As the months passed, I started to crave experiences that were further outside of Los Angeles. I began hiking in the surrounding mountains starting with Mount Lowe. As time went on, I ventured further from the city and my friends eventually joined me one-by-one.
Now, I look forward to each day (good or bad) and I’m happy to say my life consists of nothing more than coffee, mountains and campfires. I hope this passion I discovered for myself will help you create breathtaking memories to share over a delicious Campfire Coffee or while on an epic Campfire Adventure.
Wishing you the best adventures life can offer.
